When hot rolled steel strip is pickledby hydrochloric acid, iron and iron oxide on surface of hot-rolled steel strip shall have chemical reaction with hydrochloric acid and then transform into chloride majored by FeCL2 and dissolve into hydrochloric acid solution. Along with acid pickling proceeding, iron ion density in hydrochloric acid solution will go up, while dissociated HCL density will go down. In order to maintain the density of free HCL in the acid solution, remove the iron ion increased, the waste acid pickling solution will be sent to acid regeneration plant to regenerate free acid which shall be returned into acid pickling unit for waste acid reutilization. At the same time, iron oxide powder is obtained.
